Kissing Jessica Stein (2001) R - 3½ Stars

Jessica Stein (Jennifer Westfeldt) has everything pretty much going for her except a good relationship. She's been on countess dates but just can't seem to find one she wants a second one with. But she's not giving up and turns to the personal ads to see who's out there. She finds an ad where someone has included a quote from her favorite poet. Interested to meet this person who shares her same taste, she responds to the ad only to find out a woman, Helen Cooper (Heather Juergensen) has posted it. None the less, she thinks it might be fun to hang out with Helen and see what else they have in common. The two quickly become close friends and become intimate with each other. Neither Jessica or Helen have found themselves attracted to a woman before. While Helen could care a less what people think, Jessica is more hesitant to introduce her new friend to her mother. She struggles with her sexuality as their romance grows.
