Terry Allen (Peter Krause) and Marla Allen (Kari Matchett), are engaged to be married. Their lives seem perfect till one day Terry looses his job and begins to loose hope of affording their dream home after they are married. He searches the want ads all day after seeing Marla off to work. He has plenty of free time on his hands to watch television and he gets caught up in the war on terror.Gabe Hassan (Khaled Abol Naga), an Muslim student lives in the same complex downstairs. Terry notices that Gabe keeps strange habits of taking the trash out very late at night, keeping his drapes drawn all the time and friends coming in and out of his house at strange hours. The more he studies Gabe, the more passionate he grows with stereotyping Gabe into a terrorist. He is so convinced Gabe and his comrades are up to no good that he seeks help with an FBI agent Tom Hillary (Richard Schiff). Tom doesn't consider what Terry tells him as much of a threat and when he doesn't follow through on confronting Gabe directly, Terry take matters into his own hands.
