Wait Until Dark (1967) NR - 4½ Stars

Zola's pic for one you should see at least one time or own in your collection.

I'm old enough to have seen this one when it first came out. Haven't seen it in years so I decided to see if it was good to me now as it was back then. And yes it IS that good still. The performances are all awesome.

Susy Hendrix (Audrey Hepburn) lost her sight in a car accident. She's married to Sam (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.) a successful photographer in New York who instead of feeling sorry for her lose of sight, prods her into becoming a strong blind woman who can do most for herself. Gloria (Julie Herrod) is her slightly unreliable young neighbor that helps her with shopping. While on a business trip, Sam encounters a woman who asks to please hold a doll when she met up with her family. Sam must leave again for another trip and Susy is alone at home.

Ruthless criminal Roat (Alan Arkin) hires Mike Talman (Richard Crenna) and Carlino (Jack Weston) to help him find the doll, believed to be stuffed with heroin. Mike gains entry into her house by pretending to be Sam's old friend and Carlino (Jack Weston) posing as a detective both drill Susy for information of the doll's location. When Roat arrives to finish the job and retrieve his prize possession, they all get more than they bargained for.

Classic! I love this movie. I am not into creepy scary movies...but this is true suspense, sit on the edge of your seat movie. Can't go wrong with this one.
