The Whole Shebang (2001) PG13 - 3½ Stars

The Banzinni family has been making their fireworks for generations. The rival companies are eager to learn their secrets as to what makes the Banzinni fireworks the best show in town.

Pop Bazinni (Giancarlo Gianini) is running the company in New Jersey. When an explosive accident claims the life of his son he needs more help to keep the business in competition. He sends for his cousin Giovanni Bazinni (Stanley Tucci) all the way from Italy. Giovanni has just had a heart wrenching breakup with his girlfriend Maria (Jo Champa). His depression grows and with a few failed suicide attempts under his belt, he figures maybe he can end it by getting blown up. Instead he meets Valentina Bazinni (Bridget Fonda) the widow of Pop's son. Together the two ignite the sky with love.
A very cute movie.
