The Outsiders (1983) PG - 4 Stars

Zola's pic for one you should see at least one time or own in your collection.

What a great movie this is with an award winning cast. A coming of age drama about a group of teens growing up the 1950's in Oklahoma. Could this be where Matt Dillion, Tom Cruise, Rob Lowe, Diane Lane, Emilio Estevez, Leif Garrett, and Patrick Swazy all got their start.

Dallas Winston (Matt Dillon) is the leader of the group of boys labeled the "Greasers". Ponyboy Curtis (C. Thomas Howell) and his bud, Johnny Cade (Ralph Macchio) are not looking to get into trouble when at the movies and they meet Marcia (Michelle Meyrink) and Cherry (Diane Lane). They just didn't know Cherry was involved with the "Socs", the rich kids. When Johnny ends up killing Bob Sheldon (Leif Garrett) the meanest member of the Socs, a rumble is demanded. The group grow up real quick when they're pressed with some serious choices.
