Spider-Man 3 (2007) PG13 - 3½ Stars

This time our masked hero gets a hold of a evil black suit that changes him from doing good for the city to causing him to almost loose his life and the girl he loves.

Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) has learn to stabilize his life between being a super hero and his devotion to his lady Mary Jane Watson (Kirsten Dunst). While they are out star gazing one night in New York, they see what the believe is a shooting star crash into the ground. Upon impact with earth, it splits open and out oozes a living blob that can change shape or contour to anything. When some of it eventually creeps onto his spidy suit, it turns black and when Peter puts the suit on, his whole life and personality changes.

New villains like escaped convict Flint Marko (Thomas Haden Church) who can morph himself into the "Sandman," and Harry Osborn (James Franco) who has a new flying board aptly named "New Goblin", take over the streets of New York. The people look again to Spiderman to clean up the mess. Even street photographer Eddie Brock (Topher Grace) will be taken over by the oozing goo and will do battle with Peter as the "Venom." Can Spiderman shed his evil darkness to get back to the good?
