Where the Heart Is (2000) PG13 - 3 Stars

A woman is left alone pregnant at the Wal Mart. Her boyfriend abandoned her and she finds a way to live there after the store has closed. She even has the baby there and falls in love with the guy who delivers it. Good ending to a tragic start.

Novalee Nation (Natalie Portman) is 17 and pregnant and has run away from her home in Tennessee with her boyfriend Willy Jack Pickins (Dylan Bruno) headed to California. Along the way she wants to stop at the Wal Mart store in Oklahoma. Willy drops her off and leaves without her

Scared, broke and alone, she finds a way to stay inside the store after everyone has closed up and gone home. There she can be whatever she wants to be and eat and dress. In the morning she leaves the store and returns again before closing. She gets away with this for a while until the baby comes. Her secret is revealed and her baby and her become instant celebrities. Novalee now has new family of friends and a place she an call home.
