The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008) PG13 - 3 Stars

Anyone who is a big fan of the X-Files, is usually eager to see Mulder and Scully working together again. It's been six years since the show and the fans have been anxiously awaiting to see their heroes together once again. And the movie is okay but not what I was expecting. While it deals with the supernatural, it's not the same sort of alien forces that made the popular series such a hit. I don't think it's because of our stars, but more the script just isn't that exciting to warrant the return of the X-Files team. While it was a decent movie, I don't feel Mulder and Scully needed this role and could have been played by anyone else.

Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) has been called in to help solve a case with his supernatural observations. A woman has been missing and with the help of a priest with physic abilities, he has told the police where the girl is being held. But they don't feel he is being truthful and enlist the help of Mulder to help find the woman before it's too late. Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) is comfortable in her life as a physician and tries to convince Mulder that he needs to let go of his obsession. Eventually she is drawn back into Mulder and finds she is the only one that can help save him too.
