The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (2008) PG13 - 3½ Stars

The movie was still good in getting it's message across of friendship, bonding, and being there for each other, but this time around it was not so much about the pants. The pants still enter the picture and are taking from place to place and mailed back and forth to each other and the concept of wearing the pants and good things that happen I feel only really come true for Tippy. I don't think the pants helped out the other 3 girls but all and all it's worth the rent even though a little more like a chick flick than the first one.

Lena (Alexis Bledel), Bridget (Blake Lively), Carmen (America Ferrera) and Tippy (Amber Tamblyn) are back at it again but three years older. The girls have still remained close but as they are growing up and making their own decisions in life, their paths are eventually taking them farther apart from each other.

This summer, Lena is going to Providence, RI, to take an art class in nude drawing. Bridget is traveling to Turkey on an archaeological excavation, Tippy will once again spend summer at home, this time with her boyfriend Brian (Leonardo Nam), while she works at a video store chasing away more customers than she's bringing in. Carmen feels this year she is the one left out with no where to go until she is invited to Vermont with an actress friend she works with. Eventually, the journey of the pants will bring them to Greece where new bonds of their friendship are born.
