All Over Me (1996) R - 3 Stars

With a backdrop set in New York's, Hell Kitchen, this is a teenage coming of age story of lesbian love. The city is full of poverty, drugs and violence where one girl will unlock the mystery of her true self.

Claude (Alison Folland) and Ellen (Tara Subkoff) are two teenagers growing up a not so great part of New York City. The girls are best of friends, inseparable and spend every waking minute together. But when Ellen gets involved with a new boyfriend Mark (Cole Hauser) a drug dealer, Claude is unsure how to take it.

As Ellen spends more time away from her, Claude misses that closeness and attempts to find it in other forms. She meets Lucy (Leisha Hailey of the Murmurs), an older woman at a lesbian bar where she feels perfectly at home. Their lives will change forever when a violent and meaningless death rocks their worlds.
