Charlie Wood (David Schwimmer) used to be a professor. He's married to his wife Penelope (Natascha McElhone), a police officer, and now living in Oregon. He gets a job telemarketing but he just can't keep his mouth shut , insults the phone customers and he's well on his way to being fired. His scheming co worker friend Gus Dickinson (Simon Pegg), gets him involved in plan to make some extra money blackmailing a priest Rev. Smalls (Mitchell Mullen). When Josie McBroom(Alice Eve), Gus's ex, over hears the men discussing it at a bar, she's determined to get in on the action.They answer phones by day but at night, they turn into criminals.
