The Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love (1995) R - 3 Stars

A lot of other gay and lesbian movies imply that gays and lesbians are different then others when it comes to their feelings. This movie portrays an honest and innocent love story that just happens to be between two girls. The story could have just as easily been about a boy and girl. I thought the movie was good and shows that love can come in any form or class.

Evie Roy (Nicole Ari Parker), is a popular girl at school who doesn't have to worry about much and has most anything she wants. She lives with her over powering mother Evelyn (Stephanie Barry). Her Ranger Rover is not preforming to her peek satisfaction and she takes it to the local gas station for fixing. Randy Dean (Laurel Holloman) a tomboy, works part time as a mechanic there and the two hit it off discussing her car. Evie leaves the station confident that Randy has solved her dilemma. The two meet again in school where Evie and Randy really hit it off in conversation.

As Evie enjoys more and more of Randy's company, her friends take note and are not pleased. As a matter of fact, everyone around her thinks she is spending way too much time with an obvious lesbian. They meet at a motel to confirm their romance and family and friends show up trying to keep the two from running away together.
