Ray Elliot (Steve Coogan) runs a unique service furnishing alibis to his cliental. Ray is the smooth operator to call if you want to have an affair without your spouse knowing about it. Business is booming until a rich spoiled kid Wendell Hatch (James Marsden) ends up accidentaly killing his lover. Ray finds out he has been implimented in the murder. Lola (Rebecca Romijn) his new recruit is brought to his aid to help him get out of this last mess by conducting the biggest alibi of his life. The two do pull off a pretty good scam at the end.
