Wag the Dog (1997) R - 4 Stars

Talk about propaganda!!! This is a great comedy that makes me never want to trust anything I hear on the news again. I LOVE this movie.

The President of the U.S. is up for re-election and finds himself accused of a scandal with a young girl visiting the white house. A political spin doctor Conrad Brean (Robert De Niro), is hired to defuse and manipulate the situation. Conrad calls upon a Hollywood producer Stanley Motss (Dustin Hoffman) to make the production of his life, putting the scandal on the back burner. Stanley assembles a cast of players consisting of Liz Butsky (Andrea Martin), Fad King (Denis Leary), and Johnny Green (Willie Nelson). They need a scape goat to complete their story and find an imprisoned man Sgt. William Schumann (Woody Harrelson) who is to become America's next hero.
